Beta Rubicon Inc. made a splash in mid-August when it hired Richard Huntsinger as its chief operating officer. But the Fayetteville company had an even bigger coup a week later when it won the contract to provide technology assessment services for the Chicago Technology Park.

Ron Goforth, Beta Rubicon’s president, declined to disclose the terms of the deal.

Located on 56 acres in the Illinois Medical District, the park is an incubator for technology companies in the early stages of development. It has 31 clients and has already graduated 25 ventures.

Firms in a variety of disciplines — drug discovery and delivery, medical devices and testing, genomics and nanotechnology — collaborate with world class professionals at the IMD on research and design.

Beta Rubicon, with satellite offices in Houston and Washington, D.C., employs nine people and boasts more than 150 experts who work as consultants through the firm.
